Why CrossFit is great for kids?

CrossFit Kids pairs fitness with fun, which is essential to setting a child on the path toward a lifetime of fitness. CrossFit kids teaches children functional movements through exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play; pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. CrossFit Kids is designed to encourage kids to get active. CrossFit Kids has proven to provide and improve agility, balance, and coordination along with many other physical skills that are fundamental to their development. Exercise itself has also seen beneficial results in cognitive function and academic achievement.

What do children do in a CrossFit class?

We use the foundational movements from the CrossFit training program and tailor them to suit kids aged between 5 and 14. We focus on the mechanics of movement to create a well-rounded athletic base, while keeping them engaged and entertained. Our CrossFit kids program considers the relevant developmental milestones of children and provides them with opportunities to engage in learning physical skills, warming up, workout out and playing games.

Got a Teen who wants to try CrossFit?

Those who are older than 14 years old can still join in on the fun of CrossFit by completing our Beginners Program, where they will learn all the fundamentals of CrossFit including skills and movements. Then once they have completed the Beginners Program, they will be able to join in with our adult W.O.Ds.

These classes can be scaled to the individual as the athlete progresses, so teens can train in the same classes as the adults even as they are still progressing in the sport. These adult classes start to have a heavier focus on performance and not just on being active and having fun.
